High school students need to expose themselves to many experiences that can assist them in making a more informed decision about post-secondary options and career opportunities. Attending college fairs and preview days can help students get a feel for a college. Shadowing a few professionals can give insight to potential career options.
Exposure is Important
Students and parents from all over the country are navigating this new normal for this academic year. Regardless of the instructional format of your school, the college readiness process does not stop. You are still expected to be prepared to transition to the next level. We are here to assist you with that process by creating opportunities to become more informed and better prepared.

May 1st is the day for commitment statements and pay deposits for your college of choice.
Make sure to have your final transcripts requested and sent to your college of choice.
Call any college that you were waitlisted for that you “really want to attend” to see if you can get more information.
Look into college applications and familiarize yourself with the required information you will need to gather.
Compile a list of teachers, counselors, and administrators that could possibly write your letters of recommendation next year.
Start planning community service activities that you can complete over the summer. This will be helpful for your college applications.
